Youth Tractor Safety Courses
Tractor Safety is required for students age 14 to 17 who work with tractors and other farm machinery in Oregon. Students receive classroom safety instruction and hands-on tractor driving experience with farm implements. A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion. Nearly all classes are hybrid, with some coursework and homework needing to be completed at home by computer.
We highly recommend and encourage youth to register early, as space for all courses fills very quickly! Class schedules and presentation and testing methods are subject to change.
We will continue to keep update this page as we learn of more youth tractor safety courses in the Willamette Valley area. If you have any questions about the classes below, we suggest contacting the provider or extension service providing the course if you have any questions or difficulties signing up. If you are in FFA, ask your FFA Advisor/Ag Teacher if they are certified to provide the course.

Classes are typically offered through Linn County Extension (over Spring Break and mid-May), Marion County Extension (two weekends in June), Clackamas County Extension (June), and Chemeketa Community College (Spring Break).

Please note this information is updated as often as we receive updates from those putting on the class.
